We splurged with our Rudd-money on a Kurobuta Ham from Vic's Meats and we will now have a week of ham. Lucky two other kind people went quarters with us, so it wont be a whole month of pig related cookery.

This was an excellent breakfast - baked quail eggs with ham served with sourdough toast fingers. I love the little cast iron pots - it's fun to (carefully) open them and see what surprise the chef has prepared for your breakfast.

Where did they come from>? I have some ceramic ones I made years and years ago. Since then, my family has grown by two, and I need more single serve pots. (I cant locate the mould to make some more ceramic ones - I think it got destroyed which is devastating!)

Are quail eggs more intense in flavour being smaller?

They came from a catering shop on Parramatta Road, right next door to Camperdown McDonalds called The Hospitality Store.

Address: 193 Parramatta Rd, Camperdown, NSW 2050
Phone: (02) 9516 1236

Quail eggs are more intense than hen's eggs.
