Does My Bomb Look Big In This?

Review - Liquidity (CLOSED)

Liquidity down at the Superyacht Marina has been doing brunch on Sundays for more than a year, but in recent times they have extended their brunch menu to Saturdays. Whilst Sundays are quite busy, and include extras like a Clown to amuse the kids; Saturdays are perfect for a leisurely brunch with a great bottle of wine. As you can see, we teamed our brunch with a lovely drop of Pegasus Bay Riesling ($66), and lapped up the view.

If you have trouble choosing a wine, Kiwi manager Jason Ratcliffe is bound to have a good suggestion, but don’t be surprised if it is from his home nation, New Zealand.

Decor wise it's a slightly strange shed like space (compounded by their toilets made of corrugated iron) with bamboo coming from the ceiling in a way very reminiscent of some sort of Japanese torture device. The seating however is comfortable, and the view is nice.

My brunch selection was a nice plate of buckwheat Pancakes with Fresh Dates, Ricotta and Canadian Maple Syrup ($12.50) which were nicely fluffy, and the figs were fabulous.

My partner struggled to finish his Big Breakfast ($17.50) – a heaving platter of excellent short bacon, pork chipolatas, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, toast, mushrooms, a hash brown and a tasty, smoky house-made bean mix. And even children are not forgotten either with three brunch selections to choose from, all $8.50.

Finally, if you live within a kilometre or so of Liquidity, (they will check on your license) be sure and ask about their local area discount card which will save you 20% for a month.
