Last month I found out that dawn does smile upon Pyrmont. Of course it took getting up at six am. (Yeah, not my usual idea of fun, I generally prefer to stay up all night until six!)
I dined as a guest of the 2012 Pyrmont Festival at a rustic, Italian breakfast created by Signorelli Gastronomia. The breakfast began with a platter of cold cuts, cheese and antipasto.
Of course we were also there to celebrate Orange, and what better way than a glass or two of sparkling wine from the region?
The event was compered by Orange born and bred Natarsha Belling, a news reader you might recognise if you watch Channel Ten. Here you can see my array of beverages, in front of a bevy of beautiful women, including one of the Signorelli clan.
And here are a couple more of the tasty dishes I got to sample during my early morning adventure... on the left is Sicilian eggs with tomato, sausage and roasted capsicum, and on the right, their hard to beat canoli.
