I also traipsed up three flights of stairs to The Standard for Tia Maria Room Sydney. This global pop-up is renowned for bringing people together once the sun goes down, and their inaugural Sydney night proved no exception.
A well-stocked bar and a bevy of waitresses in cute Tia Maria dresses ensured guests were well-lubricated with a quartet of Tia Maria cocktails. While I did find Tia Ginger featuring Tia Maria, ginger beer and lime surprisingly drinkable, the best use of the liqueur I drank on the night was the smooth Tia Espresso Martini.
We were also treated to a musical collaboration between current it-DJ Alison Wonderland and Owl Eyes, who came straight off the back of her Nightswim tour. The girls revved up the dance floor with their energetic collaboration, that begs to be booked for an large outdoor music festival this summer.
